Onboarding health check

Ten questions, about three minutes. Find out whether your onboarding catches struggling hires while there is still time to help them.

Nothing you answer is stored or sent anywhere. It all stays in your browser.

Before day one

Every hire has a named manager and a defined first project before the offer goes out.
Managers are prompted to prepare before the start date, not reminded after it.
Equipment and accounts are ready on the first morning.

The first month

Every new hire meets their manager one to one in their first week.
Someone other than the manager checks in with each hire during week one.
Each hire has a written picture of what good looks like at Day 30, 60, and 90.

Seeing problems early

You hear the hire’s view and the manager’s view separately.
Today, you could name which recent hires are struggling.

Ownership

One person owns onboarding outcomes across every team and region.
The last probation check-in happens early enough to change the outcome.

Why these ten

They come from the onboarding system I run at Orium. The questions that matter most are in the middle section: whether you hear the hire and the manager separately, and whether you could name a struggling hire today.
